I do agree that the ability to side effectively is very important, but this means that multiple duels will need to be played per deck. Having duels with different decks is important as well, however, and for the purposes of quickly assessing a new player's overall skill, I feel that it's preferable to have 3 duels with 3 different decks than, say, 4 duels with 2 decks, or even 3 duels with 1 deck. Thus, the siding thing could be implemented to team admission tests, where you need to include your main decks anyway, and siding will show how well you can counter your opponent using these main decks.
