    Player B has 2 face down magic/trap cards and chains Starlight Road to Player A's Heavy Storm

    Now Player A chains from his hand Mystical Space Typhoon to Player B's remaining faced down card.

    Question is what happens?

    Since Heavy Storm is no longer destroying 2+ cards, Starlight Road would resolve without effect. Heavy Storm would have to actually be destroying those two cards at the end of the chain in order for Starlight to resolve.

    That is actually correct. Remember people, a card does not gain its effect until it has been "successfully" resolved. So when the time for the chain to get back to Starlight Road, MST has already destroyed the other card so meanwhile Starlight Road only sees Heavy Storm destroying one card.
